A huge thank you to all our families for your amazing generosity this harvest. We had a lovely celebration this morning and were delighted to be joined by Rev Wendy and Nick Russell from St Saviours Church. Wendy told us all about a fearless female dairy farmer from Ireland, and Nick dazzled us with his magic tricks and helped us to think about the importance of being kind. It was a lovely celebration and our next job will be to bag up your donations and deliver them to our pensioner friends on the estate. Well done everyone

We received exciting news this afternoon when we were told that we have officially become an IQM Centre of Excellence. Miss Hogger and Miss Evans spent last year working on the Inclusion Qualitymark application with great support from the children, staff team, governors, parents/carers and local community partners. On our verification day back in the summer term, we passed with flying colours achieving a Grade 1 in every area. This special achievement recognises everything that we do to support and include our diverse and vibrant community. As the first line of the award states… “Middle Park Primary School is at the heart of a community with community in its heart.” We are very proud and a huge well done to everyone.
MIDDLE PARK FAME ACADEMY: In other exciting news – for any fans of the new crime series on BBC1 ‘Strike’ – look out in November for this little actress who will be featuring. You can’t miss that giant smile – (Although we don’t think she’ll be smiling much on screen if the storyline is anything to go by!) Well done little-legs
Dance fever swept through the juniors this afternoon as children in Years 3, 4 and 5 were given the opportunity to audition for our new weekly specialist dance tuition with Katie from ‘The Dance School.’ There was so much talent and enthusiasm on show and it was incredibly hard for Katie and Miss Simons to select the successful dancers. Miss Simons will let children know later this week whether they made it into the group. Thank you and well done to all the children who auditioned.
We’re so happy to be back learning and playing together. The classrooms are taking shape and we have some fantastic book areas popping up. Children are thinking and talking and solving problems, recording, creating and supporting one another. It’s going to be a great year!
