Our older children really enjoy coming in early to get a little extra practice and to start their day with hot chocolate and toast. There are lots of members of staff on hand to give them additional time – and they also support each other to deeply understand their new learning.
Our early morning Book Club are reading ‘A Monster Calls’ by Patrick Ness – a highly recommended read!
Nergui are excited to finish off their sculptures today by painting them. They have been really creative this term; completing their designs, making armatures using wire and covering their frames in mod roc ready to paint. Well done Year 5.
Our Christmas Party Day is underway and the fun has already started. We have party food galore, natty looking party children, a dancing reindeer in Year 2 Tarzan and Mr Marvel is entertaining the troops. We know how to brighten up a gloomy day!
Great to see so many parents and family members for Nergui’s assembly all about Art. The children got to share everything they’ve learned this term, and the parents then had an opportunity to join them and to create something themselves. Thanks to Mr Drury and Karen for giving everyone this opportunity.
We’ve had a fantastic day today with author and illustrator David Lucas who inspired us with his brilliant ideas and top tips for writing. All the junior children enjoyed a special workshop where he shared his book writing secrets. We all had lots of ideas and can’t wait to start putting them into our stories.
6 of our children had an afternoon of travel training at the Big Red Bus. They learned about being safe on public transport and thought about what they might do in different situations while travelling. It was a great afternoon and gave us lots to think about.
