Year 1 had great fun at Forest School today. We used expandable soil blocks and added water, the children were amazed at how much soil came from a small block and they could not resist getting stuck in and mucky, even Angie could not resist a new face pack. We also planted some tomato plants that Michele donated and some cress seeds. As always, bug hunting is a must and we found a very friendly ladybird that wanted to join in with all the fun.
We had such a fun assembly with Miss Best this morning. Our assembly theme this half term is ‘other people’s lives,’ thinking about how we never know what life is like for somebody else. We have many things in common and lots of differences between us and it was nice to see at a glance what we had in common with others.
We can’t wait to hear more about what life is like for other people and next week we will be marking ‘Young Carers’ week.
The most important learning is that we remember this message and we always treat others with kindness. That’s the Middle Park way.
