At Middle Park we provide an art and design education that enlightens our children as to how art has shaped our history, what a crucial part it is if of our nation and how it influences worldwide culture.

 

As artists our aim is for the children to be creative and passionate. They can express their interests whilst becoming experienced in a range of mediums. They have the opportunity to draw, paint, sculpt and make crafts and become masters in each of these throughout their school life. They use their sketchbooks to refine their skills and critically evaluate their own achievements and their areas for development.

 

When admiring the artwork of relevant and inspirational artists, craft makers and designers they are able to develop their use of art specific vocabulary. Lessons based around enquiry are used to engage and inspire, which allows time to experiment with different techniques that will help develop each individual’s own artistic style.
