At Middle Park children learn by exploring different religions developing mutual respect and an in depth understanding of the diverse world we live in. We aim to provide children with a greater understanding of religions and faiths, and the importance of promoting respect and tolerance of individuals and beliefs within our diverse society.
Children develop a sense of belonging and a greater understanding of their own beliefs and those of their peers through discussion, religious enquiry and school celebrations. For example, parent assemblies and activities based on a variety of different cultures and beliefs.
We aim to provide children with key skills in questioning, and provide opportunities to think about the sensitivity of responses in relation to the experiences and feelings of others, including their own faith.
