It has been so fun having the dress-up costumes out today and the children have created the funniest panto you’ll ever see! We really should take this on the road.
Year 6 have been creating paper mache sculptures made from just tin foil, newspaper and pva glue! We have been inspired by Henry Moore’s WW2 sketches.
Our children built a great little shop this lunchtime and started a roaring trade in random log parts. Who knew there was such a demand for them!
Mr Drury took all our harvest donations to the Greenwich Foodbank and they were very grateful for all your generous contributions. They will certainly make a difference. Thanks everyone.
Sad day alert!!! It’s the last day for our wonderful Mrs Montgomery who is officially retiring. Our forest school queen and EYP extraordinaire!! We’re going to miss her so much. She has touched the lives of so many people and we thank her for her commitment to Middle Park, for everything she has done and for everything she is. You’re AWESOME Pat! Have the best retirement ever.
Year 6 have been learning about evolution and inheritance. We wanted to find out whether we look the same as our parents and we investigated inherited and acquired characteristics using Mr Men!
School journey update – it’s a bit soggy at the moment but the children are happy and it has been another great day. They spent most of the day at the Steam Museum and had a go at a few more adventure activities when they got back to the centre. They’re heading in now to get warm and dry and ready for dinner.
Year 6 have spent the morning at the Steam Museum where they have enjoyed a workshop about World War II. This has included looking at artefacts, dressing up and immersing themselves in the 1940s.
A chilly evening but we’re all wrapped up and enjoying lots of team-building games. It’s been a long and exciting day for Year 6.
And they’re off!!! Our wonderful Year 6 are on their way to their Year 6 residential. Have the best time.
