Mrs Stewart will be working with children in Years 5 and 6. She has been a Year 6 teacher for a number of years and will be working closely with Mrs Fenn and Mrs Findley. Welcome Mrs Stewart!

The learning starts early in Year 6 with the children coming in from 8.15am to squeeze in some extra time. The hot chocolate and toast helps get the brain cells going! Year 5 also love to come in as early as possible so they can have a quick read before lessons start.

Martyn Potter is our guitar tutor who delivers lessons in school to small groups of interested children from Year 3 up. The children are issued a guitar which they can keep at home to practise on. Who will be the next famous musician to come out of Middle Park??? (Let’s face it – Boy George was a while ago now!)

Speech Bubbles is a special project that runs in Year 1 in partnership with the London Bubble Theatre Company. It helps children to develop their imaginations as well as their communication skills, through structured drama workshops. Last year the project made a really big difference to our children, several of whom were assessed by a speech and language therapist before and after the programme, and so we’ve decided to run it again this year. And most importantly of all, the children love it! Adam is our special Speech Bubbles leader – or ‘Aladdin’ as the children call him!
