The Nursery had a visit from ‘Wild Science’ today. The children learned about a range of different animals. They got to meet and touch Monti the giant African millipede, Gertrude the leopard gecko, Fenton the tree frog, Rozz the rat, Gonzo the guinea pig and Romeo the dwarf rabbit… Try asking your child why the tree frog can’t swim!
It was lovely to see so many parents in the EYFS this morning to help the children to celebrate Diwali and to finish off the half term with a little stay-and-play.
A huge thank you to all our families for your amazing generosity this harvest. We had a lovely celebration this morning and were delighted to be joined by Rev Wendy and Nick Russell from St Saviours Church. Wendy told us all about a fearless female dairy farmer from Ireland, and Nick dazzled us with his magic tricks and helped us to think about the importance of being kind. It was a lovely celebration and our next job will be to bag up your donations and deliver them to our pensioner friends on the estate. Well done everyone
We are expecting our new FS1 to be completed and signed off by Christmas. It will make a huge difference to our younger children for our FS1 and FS2 classes to be separate and Miss Marcer, Mrs Montgomery and Cindy are getting very excited about the possibilities.
