Maths Workshop
Thanks to the parents who came along to this morning’s maths workshop. Look out for the ‘how to help your child at home’ leaflet which is coming out tonight.
Congratulations to Freddie, Lauren and Oliver who have won a competition to have their posters displayed in the Education Department at Eltham Palace. Our clever designers had to create posters which represented travelling and the judges were really impressed with their entries. This afternoon they were shown where the posters would be displayed, and met some other winners from the Borough. Look out for the story in the local press!!!! Well done guys.
Throughout the school we have been looking at the book ‘Have You Filled a Bucket Today?’ Everybody carries an invisible bucket. You feel very happy and good when your bucket is full. You fill a bucket when you show love to someone, when you say or do something kind, or even when you give someone a smile. We have a school full of bucket fillers!!! Have any of your children mentioned anything about how they have filled a bucket, or how somebody else has filled theirs??
Our Value of the week was respect. Children started the week learning about this through role play in assembly. We explored the expectations we have from others and what people expect from us.

Thank you to all the parents and carers that attended the Primary Bullying Intervention Training this morning. As discussed this morning, the pupils that took part in this intervention have developed resilience towards some behaviours that will enable them to take these skills into adult life. The key messages from the training were the differences between joking, teasing and bullying, ensuring that all our pupils feel safe in their environment and parental perception. There will be further information regarding this in future newsletters.
A big thank you to Tyla Grace Payne, Kai Philby, Mollie Carey and Mojeed Owulabi for their brilliant role play in the workshop.
Well done to all the children for their immaculate observation of our two minutes silence. We will remember them.
Remember all the soldiers, who fought this very day,
Hand in hand, row by row, as the poppies sway and blow,
Even though we may cry they’re still with us in the sky,
On the battlefield poppies grow,
As soldiers lay beneath the snow.
