The children are feeling right at home today as a sea of pyjamas, onesies, dressing gowns and slippers marks this year’s Children in Need event. We’ll keep you posted on how much we have raised.
We have merchandise available for sale from the school office – and don’t forget children can bring in £1 and wear their pajamas to school next Friday 17th November.
As you know, our Governors visit the school regularly to see what is going on, meet the children and look at learning books. This morning’s focus visit looked at writing across the school and Miss Davis took our Governors off to see what the children are doing. They saw our new handwriting scheme in action – Peg to Paper, listened to the children read their stories, spoke to them about their identities as writers and had a good look in the books.
It was lovely to see so many parents in the EYFS this morning to help the children to celebrate Diwali and to finish off the half term with a little stay-and-play.
A huge thank you to all our families for your amazing generosity this harvest. We had a lovely celebration this morning and were delighted to be joined by Rev Wendy and Nick Russell from St Saviours Church. Wendy told us all about a fearless female dairy farmer from Ireland, and Nick dazzled us with his magic tricks and helped us to think about the importance of being kind. It was a lovely celebration and our next job will be to bag up your donations and deliver them to our pensioner friends on the estate. Well done everyone
