We are so proud of this little school ambassador who has been educating us all about stammers and stutters by presenting to classes. Do you know the difference between a stutter and a stammer? And did you know that there are three different types of stammer? Neither did we!

We cannot believe our luck today. Thanks to an incredible bid that Miss Davis successfully applied for – we are holding a FREE book fair with every child able to take home two books each. There is so much buzz around books and blurbs and favourite authors and genres. Christmas has come early at Middle Park!

We were so happy to welcome Shelf Comedy duo to Middle Park to give us all a big laugh and a smile. For many of us, this was our first PROPER comedy show. We have many comedians at Middle Park. Thanks for the inspiration!

There is so much excitement in school surrounding books and reading and we have a lot to look forward to. This morning, Miss Davis introduced us to our Reading Ambassadors who are always on hand with a recommendation. We have a new book vending machine in school. Children who are talking about their reading and recommending books to one another may win a token for the machine and a book of their choice! Thanks to Brian for our new outdoor reading area so we can maximise every opportunity to read our favourite book. We also have wrapped books around the school and will soon have a book fair that will be ABSOLUTELY FREE for our children and enables them to choose a book or two to take home and keep forever. So much going on! Thank you to Miss Davis for all these exciting opportunities.

A heartfelt farewell to the very lovely Scott who has moved on from the Community Centre to take up another exciting opportunity with the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Scott has been a regular lovely face in and around school and has worked closely with staff here to best support our wonderful families. He is much-loved by children, staff and families and we all wish him the very best of things in the future.

You’ll be missed Scott! Travel well and come back and see us if you get the chance. Xxx
