Forest School
Spending time in nature can support your feelings of well-being. Year 1 have spent this glorious morning at Forest School, closely observing the changes in the seasons and enjoying the wonders of worms. Very mindful!
Our children from Ferdi Class have been getting out and about and last week they visited a very festive Ruxley Garden Centre. It was quite a sensory experience with all the lights and sweet-smelling food and seeing the reindeer was a definite highlight. We had better get them fed and fit ready for Christmas Eve!
Thanks to Irene and Mark from Nat West who came in last Friday to deliver money sense workshops to children in Year 2 Tiddler and Year 3 Paddington. Irene sent a lovely email praising Miss Cowie and Miss Micklewhite and saying “..both teachers were fantastic in their approach and enthusiasm… we both left with smiles on our faces having enjoyed the afternoon with them.” The children had a great time too and learned some valuable tips on ways to manage their money.
t’s a lovely week for school trips! Year 1 had a great day on Wednesday when they visited Eagle Heights and met huskies, a tarantula, a crocodile and Kayla the famous Bald Eagle. Did you know that Kayla is the mascot for Crystal Palace Football Club and was on the front cover of a Kings of Leon album??
