Year 1 at Godstone Farm
Year 1 had a wonderful day at Godstone Farm. They have been on a tractor ride and have met and learnt about lots of the animals who live there. We can’t wait to hear about it!
We have a staff of animal lovers and they will take any opportunity to bring in their four-legged friends to show off. This week, we met Bruno – the new addition to the Lawrence household. Mr Lawrence thinks that Bruno is the very cutest dog of all and Year 5 Ironsoul think they should now have a class dog!
Our Governors come into school regularly to observe and monitor what we are doing. This morning, a group of governors came in to look at inclusion through our school. Inclusion is about how we try to remove barriers to learning and support all children to achieve their full potential. Governors visited classrooms and spoke with children about what helps them to learn, and a group of children gave a special presentation about what inclusion has meant for them. It was a really useful morning for everyone.
A huge well done to all the children who entered the STEM week design competition. It was amazing to see all the wonderful ideas. Mr Drury led a special assembly this morning to hand out prizes. Well done to individual winners Billy, Noah, Poppy, Ayva, Ella May, Gabriel, Phoebe, Archie, Nathan, Maria, Ciara, Samantha, Olivia, Ryan, Esme, Lilly, Kaitlyn, Tyreese, Frankie, Daisy and Samuel.
