Look out for our special double page spread in this week’s Greenwich Time

Year 5 Matilda are very excited to announce the arrival of their new classmate, a russian hamster named Nikita. Nikita is settling in very well and enjoying getting to know the children. Latest news is that he loves banana chips but has yet to attempt his wheel. (Unless he does that when we’re all at home in bed.) Nikita is a HIT!!

Congratulations to our lovely Queenie (no not you Tyla) who will officially become Britain’s longest reigning monarch today. History in our lifetime!! We are very excited in school. To mark the occasion, all the children will receive a special commemorative coin.

We would like to warmly welcome four new members of staff this year; Mr Cullen (Year 5 Ironsoul), Honey Ozkumru (FS2 Tango), Miss Alp (FS2 Tango) and Mrs Matthews (Year 3 Phineas). All four have hit the ground running and have quickly fitted in to the team. Welcome all!!

Congratulations to our fabulous cook VICKY who has made it to the final three in the 2015 ‘Catering Manager of the Year’ award. She finds out in October where she will come while tucking into a five course meal at the Dorchester. I say!! We love her at Middle Park. Good luck Vicky!!

Well done Middle Park! We have been awarded the Primary Quality Mark for the third successive time. This is an award that celebrates our continuous improvement in literacy and numeracy. We really impressed the awarding body with our vibrant classrooms, problem solving pupils and constant drive for high quality learning in all areas of literacy and numeracy within school.

This week we welcomed a professional photographer into school to capture our lovely children in action. The photographs will be used in our new prospectus, in large prints throughout the school and on the school website. We can’t wait to see the end results – Well done to all the children for being so gorgeous!
