Miss Siejok has been teaching music in all our KS2
classes and we are really enjoying increasing our repertoire.
So lovely to have parents and carers in school this evening to meet the teachers in classrooms and hear all about their child’s learning. Lots of happy faces going out the door so we’re assuming it’s all good news!!

Our new Forest School area is ready to go and we have our first ever pond thanks to the Donnelley family. This is so exciting as even the smallest ponds can attract a wide range of wildlife. The children will now help us with pond plants and wildlife-friendly planting around the outside to give the amphibians somewhere to hide.

This has been a real team effort with Miss Bennett and Angie W sourcing logs, Michele setting us the challenge of growing a Christmas tree, Brian building our new mud kitchen and Angie D and Callum joining in to help him dig in the pond. Brian has even left us a special bunch of flowers as you can see!
And now Miss Bennett’s Eco-Schools flag can fly high on our new flagpole. Good times!
It’s photograph day in school and having taken all the individual and sibling shots, it’s now time for Year 6 to pose for their special vista print. What a good looking school we are!

Our pupils have been exploring resources that support learners with ADHD and evaluating when and where they might prove useful. There are many resources out there including wobble boards, fiddlers, standing desks and discreet ‘loops’ that can reduce noise when needed.

UKS2 explored their class names including the myths, the etymology and the significance today. So many of our words have Greek origins and the more we know, the better we will all be at Trivial Pursuit.

We’re really happy to have welcomed Gemma from ‘Learning through Landscapes’ into school today as we start to work towards a redesign of our school playgrounds. Gemma is meeting with staff, children, parents, carers and governors and is going to help to pull all our ideas together so we can enhance our play and outdoor learning. Learning through Landscapes
