We have had a lovely time this week welcoming Peter in to school. Peter just loves books so much and he showed us some that are special to him and he read some of his favourite stories. Then we all closed our eyes and we got to imagine our dream libraries…….

See some pics and a video of a debate we did last week on Hilda and The Bird Parade. We were explosive in this great debate also supported by our friends. We debated whether the girl who moved from the countryside to a large city should or shouldn’t go out and explore her new environment. At the beginning of the lesson – 14 of us voted FOR and 12 voted AGAINST. By the end of the debate… Paddington voted 19 FOR and 7 voted AGAINST. We were animated and very persuasive!

BOOK RECOMMENDATION this week from Mr Lawrence is ‘Wonder’ by R.J. Palacio. “This book is a wonderful novel of how kindness is the most important thing. I love how it is told from different people in Auggie’s (the main character) class. We hear about the story of friendship, acceptance and belonging.” It really is a special book – let’s get reading in 2019!
