Some fantastic writing from Year 4

We have a new fenced off area in Key Stage 1. This will help teachers to set up outside activities and make the most of the space. Thanks to all the parents and carers who dropped off at the fence this morning.

The library is continuing to take shape and we are now just waiting for the last bits of non-fiction stock. We are planning a grand opening this half term!!

Our Value of the week was respect. Children started the week learning about this through role play in assembly. We explored the expectations we have from others and what people expect from us.

`Respect is thinking good things about each other` Theo Year 1

`Respect is being kind to each other` Ellie Year 1

Thank you to all the parents and carers that attended the Primary Bullying Intervention Training this morning.  As discussed this morning, the pupils that took part in this intervention have developed resilience towards some behaviours that will enable them to take these skills into adult life. The key messages from the training were the differences between joking, teasing and bullying, ensuring that all our pupils feel safe in their environment and parental perception. There will be further information regarding this in future newsletters.

A big thank you to Tyla Grace Payne, Kai Philby, Mollie Carey and Mojeed Owulabi for their brilliant role play in the workshop.

Wow we raised £312 for Children In Need by coming to school in our pyjamas.

Well done to all the children for their immaculate observation of our two minutes silence. We will remember them.

Remember all the soldiers, who fought this very day,
Hand in hand, row by row, as the poppies sway and blow,
Even though we may cry they’re still with us in the sky,
On the battlefield poppies grow,
As soldiers lay beneath the snow.

School Council bagged up the harvest donations and delivered them to the Community Centre ready to be distributed to our friends on the estate. Thank you all once again for your generosity.
