Summer Fair
A massive thank you and well done to Caroline and her team of parent helpers for organising this afternoon’s Fair. Currently, they have raised over £1000 towards the school which is fantastic. It was also great to see so many children organising stalls and we look forward to hearing from Year 6 on how their ‘Fiver’ challenge has gone, as well as the results of School Council’s fundraising. Thank you everyone for your support.
Art
This week we are thinking about why we love Art. Miss Simons read the story ‘ish’ in assembly which is all about finding our love of art and not worrying about whether or not something is perfect. To demonstrate the point, Miss Best, Miss Davis and Mr Drury created ‘vase-ish’ paintings while she read.

Well done Year 4!!
and in exciting news, one of our entries was awarded a runners up prize! The judges really enjoyed this performance of ‘Carnival Jumbie’ and wrote to the school saying, “Thank you for entering our CLiPPA Shadowing Scheme competition. Congratulations – your Group performing Carnival Jumbie have been selected as runners up! The group will receive a signed certificate for taking part in the Shadowing Scheme.
We received over 120 high quality entries and it was very difficult to select the winners and runners up. The judges particularly liked your group’s entry and we will feature it on our Poetryline website.” Well done Year 4!!
