making TVs and pinhole cameras, testing out gliders and boats made of straws. The fun continues.

We were so lucky to have a very special visitor to our assembly this morning. Happy birthday Mr Einstein! Thank you for showing us one of your very special experiments.

Well done to everyone for dressing up today for World Book Day in your favourite book characters.

Today is Christmas party day in school and we’re all having a great time. Mr Marvel is here and he’s been entertaining the younger children with a super magic show – and now the older children are enjoying their special ‘Gameshow Discos.’ We’ve had a lovely Christmas lunch, we’ve watched the first UK astronaut blast off into space and we’re also enjoying making magic potions and year group rugby tournaments. Why can’t it be Christmas EVERY day!?!

Children across the school have been watching Tim Peake as he embarks on his landmark flight to the International Space Station. Go Tim!!!

Thank you for all the donations of cakes this morning. Don’t forget to bring some pennies with you after school in case there is anything left!

What an amazing afternoon we all had at Severndroog Castle. The children listened intently to all the wonderful stories and interesting information about the castle and Lady Anne James who commissioned it. We got to climb the 86 steps to the top and had a good look at the views – managing to spot several landmarks including Middle Park Primary School! The 12 children were worthy winners and really enjoyed their prize. Thank you Eltham Arts for this opportunity!!
