Some more lovely outcomes from our local history project, ‘A Curious Quest.
Maths
We’ve been putting the children to work this week collecting all the autumn leaves ?- they always love being helpful
Harvest festival
Thanks to everyone for the generous donations to our harvest festival collection. The children celebrated this week and bags will be taken to the Community Centre to be distributed to some of our pensioner friends on the estate. They always greatly appreciate the thoughts and gifts at this time.
Workshop
It has been so wonderful to start welcoming more parents and carers back into school. This morning, Miss Evans and Janice from STEPs delivered a workshop breaking down the ways children learn to read and giving helpful advice about how we can support our children and some takeaway resources to help parents on their way.
Armistice day
Today has been a special day as we marked armistice day through a two minute silence, workshops in class and by wearing red to raise money for the Royal British Legion. This little man brought in a very special photograph of his great, great grandfather which means such a lot to him. We will remember them.
