Steel Pans Band
We are SOOOOO PROUD of our Year 6 Steel Pans Band who performed brilliantly at the Royal Festival Hall this afternoon. The children were nervous and excited. Alanna Rose and Ore were brave enough to introduce our group and present which three pieces they would be performing – and then they performed PERFECTLY and received a great reception from the hundreds of people watching. You were all amazing and you deserve to feel so proud of yourselves. Well done. Thanks to Eltham Hill School for the opportunity – and thanks to Becky and CLAIRE WENDON for making it happen

wedding ceremonies
Year 4 have been learning about wedding ceremonies and this afternoon they had their very own wedding with Rev Lewis! Apparently this was most hilarious! I’m not sure if any of you looked this happy on your wedding days!! The children also got to see some of the wedding photographs from our staff and had to guess who it was.
National Theatre
Ironsoul are having a fantastic day at the National. They had a tour of the three theatres and watched the staff changing the set ready for tonight’s performance of Twelth Night. They saw where the props are made and the sets are built. This afternoon was a fun and interesting puppet workshop. Great trip!
Mindstorms update
Mindstorms update: The children have been working together to build impressive machines including a colour sorter that will sense different colours and sort them accordingly. Also, a puppy that can be programmed to fetch a bone. It’s taking a few weeks to build but we can’t wait to see the end results!

H2O Hero
Children of Year 5 Matilda introduced their H2O Hero projects to the school. They have created a company name of ‘Droplets’ and aim to help people reduce the amount of water they use by using washing up bowls, collecting rainwater to water plants and reducing shower times to 4 minutes or less.
Droplets- save water – save money – one drop at a time!
