We have welcomed the author Chris Powling into school today to speak with the children about writing, reading and sharing his love of words! Remember, parents/carers are invited in at 2.40pm this afternoon to meet him and hear him speak. All welcome – come along to the bottom hall.

we have welcomed 26 trainee teachers from the University of Greenwich into school to consider ways to ‘make learning memorable.’ Mr Drury will be looking after them this afternoon – and this morning they are having a great experience in the Lego Innovation Studio with Mr Lawrence. Happily, our pupils are also on hand to help them out!

Miss Turner came along to this morning’s governor meeting to talk about the Daily Mile and why they think it is having a positive impact. The children in Chimwala say that the Daily Mile helps them to ‘clear their minds’ and they like supporting each other to improve on their scores.
