Ferdi Class have returned to school brilliantly and have been quickly getting down to their learning and having fun together. Miss Evans and Lian take them out for a weekly adventure and so far they have fed the donkeys and enjoyed a bit of twitching at the Tarn. Blessings !

Many of our children have neuro diverse diagnoses such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD or ADHD. These learning differences are a gift and give them their super powers which might include creative thinking, problem solving, amazing memories and incredible skills across the curriculum. Sometimes school can be a bit of a challenge but we know that’s because we are imperfect, not them. We will always do everything we possibly can to encourage our neuro diverse learners to have high self esteem and to feel proud of themselves. Their futures are so bright.

We have recently been trying to track down some more detail about the bombing of our school in the 1940s. A News Shopper article from the 1990s talks of a doodlebug hit in 1943, but looking at the Bomb Census it seems that the Middle Park and Sutcliffe ward also took a high number of hits (114) between 1940 and 1941. Our current meeting room did originally have two floors above it before the blast.

We hope you’re all managing to keep safe and warm in this chilly weather. It’s very icy today so be careful out there.

Look at us ! What a bunch of supermodels we are. Thanks to Mrs Fenn for liaising with Specsavers in Beckenham to secure a donation of high vis vests. They will definitely be put to good use once we are out and about again. Thank you Specsavers

It’s such a beautiful morning and it’s making us miss you all more than ever. We hope you get s

ome time outside today. Breathe the air, hear the birds, look at that amazing winter sky. Look after each other.

Lockdown school. This is what we look like this week. Home learning, school learning, live meets, doorstep visits… not the easiest for any of us but looking at these wonderful little people in action helps. Keep safe everyone, we miss you all.

This is how we’re rolling ….. thank you to all the parents and carers who have filled in the online survey. All your comments have been passed on, considered and discussed. If you haven’t yet completed yours – please click on the link in last night’s email from Miss A.

So much has been achieved this week and a huge well done to all our parents, carers and families for the high engagement, supportive feedback and wonderful learning. Our teachers will be signing off from 1pm. If they contact you after that, please tell them off, ask them to switch their computer off and go out for a walk! Look after yourselves this weekend, keep safe and hopefully get some fresh air and exercise. You’re all brilliant.
