Thanks to Miss Hogger we are now a STARS TfL Bronze school and as part of the award we have received some new bike and scooter storage FREE! Thanks Miss Hogger! And thanks also to Brian for overseeing the installation. Now we can all get pedalling!

Welcome back! And a big thank you to Jill for creating our spooky Halloween garden which looked so fun in the mist this morning. Hope you all had a wonderful half term.

We were thrilled this afternoon to meet a genuine hero when Paralympic gold medal winner Susie Rodgers came in to meet us, to tell us about her achievements and to show us her incredible gold medal (which was surprisingly heavy!) Susie told us that she felt ‘shocked and happy’ when she realised she had come first and won the gold medal. The children burst into applause when they saw her medal. What an inspiration and a reminder that if we are determined and resilient we can achieve our dreams too.

We are super excited because on Wednesday, gold medal winning Paralympian SUSIE ROGERS is coming in to school to tell us all about her achievements and to show us her medal haul. We CAN’T WAIT!!!

Thanks to the parents and carers who came in to support our Macmillan coffee morning today. It was May, Emily and Mum Botting who came up with the idea and asked if they could arrange the coffee morning and cake sale to raise money for this fantatsic charity. Don’t forget, there will be cakes on sale in the bottom hall at the end of the school day. Hope to see you there!

Many thanks to our wonderful cook Phillip, who let some of our children into his tricks of the trade this morning when they helped him to bake bread for the harvest festival. It was a really enjoyable, practical session and the bread looks and smells amazing.
