FS Physical Activity morning
Thanks to all the parents who came in this morning for the FS Physical Activity morning. The children had great fun being healthy and active!
Last week was the final FAST in school and all our families came together to celebrate the programme. There have been many positive comments made on the parent surveys about FAST and it sounds as though many of you have found it enjoyable and have valued meeting so many new people. A big thank you to Caroline and her team of FAST trainers who have created this opportunity.
Last night was the annual awards ceremony at the Univeristy of Greenwich and once again Middle Park was represented impressively. The school was recognised for being in the ‘Top 50’ schools in the partnership, and individual awards were received by Miss Davis and also by Miss Best and Mrs Matthews who planned and delivered a series of workshops for student teachers earlier in the year. Well done to everyone.

Our school governors come into school frequently so they have a really thorough understanding of how the school runs. This morning, they came in for a special focus visit looking at the Foundation Stage. Miss Marcer focussed on the outdoor opportunities, and governors were really happy to see all the amazing activities in the outdoor area as well as the two forest school sites in action. Our foundation stage children are really inspired by these activities and were keen to tell the governors all about their learning. It was a great morning for everyone.
The Big Pedal is the UK’s largest cycling and scooter event. It aims to get as many children using sustainable transport over a short period. Over 1000 schools have signed up for this event and we are one of them. We are having our Big Pedal Day on 29.4.16. Please encourage your child/ren to either cycle or scooter to school on this day. We shall have a hands up poll and our information will be measured against other schools. We may win a prize!!!! For further information check out the website. http://bigpedal.org.uk/
