Middle Park received a special award this evening from the University of Greenwich in recognition of our long-standing partnership with them and our commitment to initial teacher training. We highly value our links with the University and we’re very proud to be recognised in this way.

Mrs Lewis led a wonderful assembly this morning all about the benefits of healthy risk-taking. It was the perfect opportunity to hear from Miss Best about the highs and lows of yesterday’s marathon race including achieving her target of running the whole way. We are so inspired by her and determined to apply some of her marathon wisdom to our own attitudes to challenge.

The heroes return

We had a lovely assembly this morning which some of our Year 6 children led as ‘an audience with Miss Best and Miss Davis.’ It was great to hear all about the highs and lows of their day, how the crowd kept them going, how the support from everyone gave them the energy and determination to get through the hottest ever London Marathon. And in fantastic news, Miss Davis has raised £2300 for Charlton Riding for the Disabled and Miss Best has raised almost £2200 for Whizzkids. What an inspirational pair!
