Great to see our super-cool teachers Miss Davis and Miss Best in this month’s @SEninemag – they are both training hard for this year’s marathon and raising funds for worthwhile charities @CharltonParkRDA and @WhizzKidz #rolemodels
Lovely article on Mr Shorney in this month’s edition of @SEninemag – a kind-hearted, interesting and inspiring man who has been a great friend to @MPPS_eltham for many years now. The children love him and so do we.
We received exciting news this afternoon when we were told that we have officially become an IQM Centre of Excellence. Miss Hogger and Miss Evans spent last year working on the Inclusion Qualitymark application with great support from the children, staff team, governors, parents/carers and local community partners. On our verification day back in the summer term, we passed with flying colours achieving a Grade 1 in every area. This special achievement recognises everything that we do to support and include our diverse and vibrant community. As the first line of the award states… “Middle Park Primary School is at the heart of a community with community in its heart.” We are very proud and a huge well done to everyone.
Look out for the Saturday supplement in this week’s Guardian – our boys’ cricket team features following their Arundel tour. Click on the link below to see the article. You’re famous Aaron and Riley.
Last night was the annual awards ceremony at the Univeristy of Greenwich and once again Middle Park was represented impressively. The school was recognised for being in the ‘Top 50’ schools in the partnership, and individual awards were received by Miss Davis and also by Miss Best and Mrs Matthews who planned and delivered a series of workshops for student teachers earlier in the year. Well done to everyone.
Well, somehow we managed to miss it – but if anyone has the 31st March edition of Greenwich Time there is a particularly good looking bunch of children on Page 4!!!
Well done to all our children who won awards in the ‘Design an Eltham Postcard’ competition. The children went to the Eltham Centre this evening to receive their prizes. A great achievement – well done guys!!
This morning we officially opened our school library with the help of many friends of the school. Visitors included the author Lauren St John, Councillor Fahy, Eddie Burnett, representatives from the Elizabeth Leggatt Foundation and several governors and members of staff. Well done to the children who charmed the socks off everyone, (as usual). Look out for coverage in the local press and hopefully we’ll get some copies of their professional photographs too.
Look out for our Jack on the Pride of Britain Awards tonight on ITV. Jack got to meet Steven Gerarrd at Anfield last week to find out he had been nominated for an award. We’re not sure who was more starstruck – Jack or his mum!!!!
