And then Year 2 Yaz won the ‘Inspiration to Others’ category and made her mum cry happy tears ! Yaz was so brave and resilient after spending a year in hospital having chemo then a further year of treatment in school and through lockdown. She never stops smiling and loving school life. You inspire us all, Yazmin !
Middle Park pupils
We are thrilled to announce that two Middle Park pupils won their categories at the Do the Right Thing awards on Friday evening. Year 6 Umer won the Young Disabled Person of the Year award and made a speech at the online event. Umer is an inspiration to everyone around him. He doesn’t allow his cerebral palsy to stop him participating fully in absolutely everything and lives his life with optimism and a can-do attitude. We all think you’re amazing, Umer.
Year 1 are so excited today because their butterflies have emerged! Way fun
Pride Day
Check out our school sweepstake for the knockout stages Euro20. Great prizes up for grabs for the winners. Any ideas for a good prize for us if Denmark ?? win ?? ⚽️
Lovely little juvenile goldfinch on the feeder this morning. Hasn’t quite got his red head yet – definitely one of our favourite regular visitors – try using nyjer seeds to attract them.
NEW TERM DATES (REVISED)
Making sock words – the tongue of concentration!
Feeling a little intense this afternoon (boom boom !)
Mr Beetle
Look who Ayva found trying to get into school this morning ? He was not wearing the correct school uniform so we scooped him up and sent him on his way.
Well, not quite … but Miss Evans was very brave and as stag beetles only emerge for a few weeks to find a mate, Mrs Montgomery put him safely in a quiet part of our forest school area. We hope you find love Mr Beetle.
