Cross Country
Well done to all the children who competed at Cross Country this week and represented the school. They all worked extremely hard and were definitely tired afterwards! Shout out to Isadora who finished 15th out of almost 100 children.
Some of our children are working with Mrs Plume to create a special festive wreath that will be displayed at Eltham Palace this Christmas. They have come up with the theme of ‘foraging,’ and spent time at the Tarn this week collecting some natural resources that they will be using. We will let you know when the wreath is on display and how you can see it.
Harvest Festival Thanks to all our families for the generous donations to this year’s harvest festival. We have been celebrating all week in school and giving thanks for what we have. We will make sure that donations go to those in need and we know they will make a difference.
After-school clubs Our children are really enjoying their after-school clubs this term and we’re grateful to the teaching and support staff who are offering such a unique combination of opportunities. Who knew that making friendship bracelets would become the new school trend in 2025?
Black History Month
We are celebrating Black History Month and our children have been thinking about what it means to them to be ‘Standing Firm in Pride and Power.’ This is what some of them said:
TORRI – Me showing confidence in myself.
SCARLETT – Bring proud of who I am.
DAVID – Speaking up when something is not fair.
VICTORIA – Showing the world what I am capable of.
Empowering words from our children. The future is bright indeed!
Do you love autumn?? The weather has been lovely lately and we are all enjoying the autumn light and seasonal changes. Adam the school frog had definitely grown, might this be our first year with frog spawn? The children are enjoying the play equipment at breaktime and playing happily together.
