Lego Training
we’ve had a fantastic day of training for our UK Lego Innovation Studio. Thanks to Stuart Swann for such an enjoyable and stimulating day
A massive thank you and well done to Caroline and her team of parent helpers for organising this afternoon’s Fair. Currently, they have raised over £1000 towards the school which is fantastic. It was also great to see so many children organising stalls and we look forward to hearing from Year 6 on how their ‘Fiver’ challenge has gone, as well as the results of School Council’s fundraising. Thank you everyone for your support.
This week we are thinking about why we love Art. Miss Simons read the story ‘ish’ in assembly which is all about finding our love of art and not worrying about whether or not something is perfect. To demonstrate the point, Miss Best, Miss Davis and Mr Drury created ‘vase-ish’ paintings while she read.
Mrs Findley organised a Greenwich Maths 24 competition at Middle Park. Teams of three children from 12 Greenwich schools came along to the bottom hall to compete. It was great fun. Click on the first card for the rules. Our team did brilliantly (well done Topher, Lucy and Connor) but overall winners were Millennium School. Roll on next year – Maths Club want to get practising!
Year 6 had a great day at Lee Green Fire Station as part of their transition to secondary school preparation. This is a big change in their lives and they have just 18 more days being the oldest children in primary school – very soon they will be the youngest children in their secondary schools! They are definitely ready for the big wide world.
