Chatham Docks
Year 5 told us all about their day: “We had a great time exploring Chatham Docks. We explored what life is like on a submarine, very cramped conditions for up to 65 men! Women weren’t allowed to be submariners during the Cold War. We then learned about the missiles that were on board and created our own missiles linking to our own learning of air resistance and aerodynamics. After lunch we were taken to the longest brick building in Europe (1/4 of a mile long) where they make ropes and had a go at making rope ourselves. A fantastic day was had by all and we were very grateful that it was a sunny day!”
