Disability Awareness Week – visual impairment
It was fantastic to welcome Karishma from the RNIB this morning to talk to us about life for visually impaired people. We had the opportunity to experience a walking cane, a braille Rubik cube, scented pens and some other objects that make life safer and easier. Our favourite piece of advice was about how we can support visually impaired people if we see them struggling. Place your hand on their arm, introduce yourself and ask if you can help. Once again, the children listened carefully and asked some excellent questions.
