Heartbreak Hotel in school this morning as we arrived to find just three chicks! What happened to the other five ? We think perhaps the parents have whittled down their brood and are aiming to get the chosen three to fully fledge. (Thank goodness they did that at the weekend! ) We are a little traumatised but mother nature is a cruel mistress.
