Who’s feeling gassy? Today Hera class explored this question and tried to figure out whether gas weighs anything. Even though most gases are invisible, we wondered if they have a weight. We tested a fizzy drink by weighing it brand new and unopened then we really got to work shaking and opening, shaking and opening until they were flat. We measured again and found they were lighter than they started; meaning those little bubbles of carbon dioxide gas in our fizzy drinks do weigh something!
