Wild Science

Wild Science visited the Nursery on Tuesday 16th November. The children were introduced to Chilli the chinchilla, Shikari the ball python, Fluffy the tarantula, Master Mantas the preying mantas, Froaky the tree frog, Frank the cockroach and Bob the Giant African land snail. The children learnt some interesting facts about each of the creatures… For example, did you know that the shell of an adult African land snail is so hard it can’t even be broken by a car tyre! The children were given the opportunity to hold or stroke all of the creatures. They behaved beautifully. Well done Pegasus class!
