Many of our children have neuro diverse diagnoses such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD or ADHD. These learning differences are a gift and give them their super powers which might include creative thinking, problem solving, amazing memories and incredible skills across the curriculum. Sometimes school can be a bit of a challenge but we know that’s because we are imperfect, not them. We will always do everything we possibly can to encourage our neuro diverse learners to have high self esteem and to feel proud of themselves. Their futures are so bright.

We have recently been trying to track down some more detail about the bombing of our school in the 1940s. A News Shopper article from the 1990s talks of a doodlebug hit in 1943, but looking at the Bomb Census it seems that the Middle Park and Sutcliffe ward also took a high number of hits (114) between 1940 and 1941. Our current meeting room did originally have two floors above it before the blast.
