A huge thank you to Miss Turner and Diane, and of course to the staff and students of Eltham Hill School, for organising our very enjoyable Sports Day this morning. The children competed brilliantly and we managed to get back before it got too hot! Great to see so many parents and carers there supporting. Well done everyone.

Well done to our Steel Pan Band who performed in the Greenwich Park Bandstand this afternoon – and a big thank you to the friends, families and staff who went along to support them.

Stanley have had a fantastic day at the Sportathon. All the children tried their best and behaved perfectly. Well done Year 3!

Year 4 children have made some inspiring homework: As part of our money week children were set the challenge of designing their own money boxes and as you can see we had some fantastic designs. Well done Year 4.

Year 4 are exploring bridges within their D.T. lessons and have been working brilliantly recreating the world famous Sydney harbour bridge. Next they will create their own amazing bridges using only art straws! Look out for our final designs.

Year 3 are having great fun this week – checking out all the sights of London from the river on the Clipper Boat, then heading in to Greenwich, catching up with Nelson and visiting the park. What a great city we live in – and just look at who Stanley bumped into!

This week, the children in Year 6 who have been coming in to early morning booster sessions were awarded special school mugs to recognise their extra efforts. Mrs Adams calculated that some children had notched up an extra 60 hours of learning through their commitment to the booster sessions. This effort has definitely been reflected in their accelerated levels of progress. There is no question that the very special Mrs Drummond hot chocolate and Willoughby toast has been the fuel needed to get the grey matter working!! Well done and thank you to all the children and to the staff for running these successful sessions.
